The Work At Home Lifestyle

When we’re young, we have this perception that we’re totally invincible and for a while, we are. Slowly but surely however, age catches up with us and all the liberties we took with our bodies begin to catch up with us.

Today’s job market particularly in my part of the country, is a young person’ game. I remember working in the factory and you could look in the eyes of the people that had been there for a while and they were empty and lacking hope.

Some had already lost jobs and benefits after 20 plus years of loyalty only to be on the fringe of losing it all again after another 20 years in a different place. When you see this day in and day out it really makes you think – will this be me in 20 years? Will I physically be up to the challenge that my job requires?

I wanted more. More for myself, my family, and our future. Corporate America wasn’t the way to go as it couldn’t give me all I was longing for. I yearned for the independence that only working from home could provide.

The possibilities were endless! We all see the banners, people lounging around on the beach, or sunning beside the pool. Once you get your head out of the clouds and realize that now, you’re actually a small business owner; it really brings you back down to earth quite quickly!

To be a success in the work from home industry you must realize that although different in many ways, this is still a job or chosen profession if you will. You are its President, CEO, Secretary, and on some days, the Janitor. In this business you’ll find the biggest stumbling block is YOU! Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, pretty powerful in their own rite but let me impart this pearl of wisdom - success and failure are on the exact same road, it’s just that success is further down the road.

In the end, the only one who can let you down is you. To be sure you’ll be facing a lot of hard work. Overseeing the store, calling all the shots, sales, marketing, answering phones, taking orders and the like but, there’s no feeling like the total sense of freedom you’ll enjoy by owning your business.

The feeling of this kind of freedom can be overwhelming as few get to experience it. A word of caution here – don’t let the euphoric feeling you’re having lull you into a false sense of security. Your schedule must be rigid, you must be driven to succede, and you must not let your defeats get the best of you. Listen to those around you who have succeeded – they have already paid their dues in time and money so, doesn’t try to re-invent the wheel.

In closing and probably the most important thing for you to have is belief – a belief in what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, a belief in your products or service, and a belief in yourself. I can believe in you all day long but if you don’t believe in yourself then my friend, the race is over before it’s begun.

Keep focused on your future, your hopes, your dreams, and what you want to accomplish. Let the nay Sayers have their piece just don’t let it deter you from the path you’ve chosen for yourself for success is at hand and today can truly be the best day of the rest of your life.

5 Overlooked Ways To Market Your Work at Home Business

I grant permission to publish this article, electronically or in print, as long as the bylines are included, with a live link, and the article is not changed in any way (grammatical corrections accepted).

5 overlooked ways to market your work at home business

Everyone is always looking for more ways to market their work at home business. You often here about PPC advertising, writing articles, link exchanges, and a few other business marketing techniques that everyone uses. However, there are many other ways to market your work at home business that a lot of people just don’t think of.

I have offered five good business marketing techniques below that are often overlooked. Of course, many people do use them but there’s not nearly as much competition in these techniques as there is with some of the others. Plus, these marketing techniques are all either free or very near it. Getting traffic to your site for free or very little cost is always a good thing in my opinion.

Here are five ways to market your work at home business that you may not have thought of before:

1) Enhanced Business Card – Get a business card with color, an eye catching background, and add your picture to it. Maybe you could also have a cool quote or a free offer on it, plus anything else you can think of to get peoples attention.

The point is you need to make it stand out among all the other business cards someone might see in a month. Make sure your website URL is on it in a highly noticable place. Then, leave it everywhere you can, and hand it out to everyone you meet.

2) Give away freebies - Underpromise and overdeliver! That is the best business marketing strategy ever thought up. Pretty much all the “big-dogs” use it in their marketing campaigns. You can too by giving away free stuff at your website, or in your newsletter, without telling anyone they will be receiving it.

Say someone visits your website from an ad you placed that didn’t mentioned anything about getting a free ebook. They will be absolutely delighted to find the extra free gift. This is a great way to get people to not only return to your site, but tell their friends about it too.

3) Sponsor Events - A great way to spread the word about your business is to sponsor events in your area. There are many games, events, charity drives, intramurals, little leagues, etc... That are just waiting for people like you to give a little bit of your money to help out.

You will usually get your business name on a T-shirt, a sign, a flyer, or something else related to the event. A lot of people will be seeing these events and YOUR business name. It’s a great way to drive local traffic to your online business website or offline business if you have one.

4) Blogs - Having your own business blog can be a great marketing tool. With a blog you can quickly and easily offer free business advice, information, fun stuff, resources, tips, or anything else you want.

If you have a very interesting and/or informative business blog people will keep returning for the great stuff that your blog offers. Update it every day or two with fresh info and you can build a strong following fairly quickly.

I have used this marketing technique successfully for the past few months. You can see one for yourself by visiting my “home biz tips” blog at
http://www.work-at-home-jobs-iowa.com/home-business-blog.html

5) Guestbooks - There are many people that have guest books on their websites that you can sign. Most of them allow you to put a link to your website when signing. This can be a good way to bring some traffic to your site and get a one-way inbound link that those search engines really love.

Make sure you don’t just post a random comment or spam the guestbook. You should actually check out the website and leave a useful message. This will keep your reputation intact and provide the webmaster with usable information. A win-win situation!

Alright, now you are armed with five more work at home business marketing techniques to bring traffic to your website and customers to your business. Get going on them now so you can increase your profits this week!

Ideas to Create Own Work At Home Online Business Product

The voice you heard by the majority of people in the Net is true, the real true money generating machine is to offer your own product or service where you can keep 100% of the profits.

Before you even start creating or introduce your own product or service, you should do some research to check the target market size, competitors and the available pricing methods available for the type of product or service that you intend to offer.

The most common product that people develop are ebook or what is commonly known as info product. It is based on the experience that you have accumulated over the years either through your jobs or hobbies and convert them into writings.

Everyone of us have a special skills and things that we do better than the rest. You can further expand your knowledge database via further education or self-education in order to create the business.

Many new business are created not by developing new products or services but by improving something that already exists. The initial innovators of products might received lots of recognition for their innovation might not know how to make the product appeal to the mass consumers and sell like hot cakes. Subsequent bright businessmen or women succeeded in relaunching the same product after some improvement as they are able to saw the mistakes that have been made and was able to capitalized on it.

The movies industry is the best example, many movies are just about repackaging to appeal to the movies consumers. Why develop new super heroes when you can make good money from old familiar heroes like Spiderman. Many movies goers grows up watching Spiderman cartoon and although they maybe adults now, they still enjoy it like when they was young. It is so familiar with them.

Therefore, time spend trying to find brand new idea should instead be spend on improving existing idea. The most important criteria is to try and find a NEED which you can filled.

For improving your business success rate, try not to go into a hot industries that are already overcrowded with suppliers unless you can offer something cheaper and better than them and still make a profit. Finding a niche market is a better strategy as an unique product or service will increase your chances of success.

Starting a Work At Home Online Business means that you should look for product or service that can be sold online and delivered to people living around the world. It should be cheaper or more convenience to order online rather than offline.

The most famous successful niche finder is Amazon.com. The books they sold already exist offline and by bringing it online and pricing its books competitively, they slowly build up their niche market and have now become the world largest online books sellers.

Therefore, open your eyes wide and start looking at things around you and think of ways to improve them.

Waffle House and the Work At Home "Anti-Guru"

Let's start with the second part of the article title - who, or what, is the "anti-guru?"

Well, the WHO would be me, of course.

The WHAT could be defined as any individual who does not claim to have all the answers on a particular subject. Hence, I'm the work at home anti-guru, since that is the focus of my website.

And I do not have all the answers, believe me.

Just a lot of them. And learning more all the time.

Of course, if you're working online, you're always learning, because the minute you think you've got something down pat, it all changes.

Take for example this idea of publishing a newsletter. When I first started out, it was the one thing you absolutely HAD to do in order to be successful. So I did it - and I think I did a pretty fine job, if I say so myself. (I just did).

But we all know what a nightmare that has become.

Yet and still, the "gurus" will tell you it has to be done. They educate you on the best ways to get your email delivered. They explain how they have overcome the you-know-what filters and how you need to adjust your own marketing to come into compliance with the situation as it is today. They introduce you to the latest technology that is designed to assist you in getting that oh-so-important newsletter out to your list.

I think that, for the most part, it's a monumental waste of time. At least in the current online climate. Perhaps it will change and once again we'll be able to get our mail to our intended recipents. Until then, I'll focus my energies elsewhere.

But then again, I am the anti-guru, so what do I know?

Which brings me to the first part of the title of this article.

Waffle House.

Gurus are always talking about how they spend their mornings sipping their lattes at the local coffee house while working on their laptops and how you can do the same when you become as successful as they are.

Now I love a good cup of java as well as the next guy. And I've spent my fair share of time at the local Starbucks, a particular favorite of the gurus.

Ever REALLY look around at those people there?

B-o-r-i-n-g.

Since I don't own a laptop, the idyllic picture of sipping my Americano while working on my website isn't going to be a reality for me. Nor is it for most people who work at home.

So why not just go someplace where the people-watching is significantly more interesting?

That's right - when I get that restless feeling that tells me I need to get out of this office and into society, I head straight for my local Waffle House.

For those of you who don't have one near you, I have two words for you -

I'm sorry.

For those of you that do, I highly recommend it. The coffee is adequate, the service generally acceptable, and the fare is what can best be described as "comfort food."

Especially the hash browns - I like mine scattered, smothered, diced, and cooked really well. Like burned, almost.

And while you're there, take a look around. Now here's where you'll see much more of a cross-section of society, because just about everyone LOVES Waffle House. If you don't, well - everyone's entitled to their opinion, I suppose.

That's where this anti-guru hangs out.

And I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

7 Must-Have Traits For Work At Home Success
by: Trent Brownrigg

There are a lot of reasons why so many people fail shortly after starting a home business. In order to achieve your work at home dreams there are certain traits you must possess or acquire. I have listed 7 must-have traits that I consider to be the most important. Go through the list carefully. Truly think about whether or not you have the desired trait. If you find that there are some that don’t describe you then decide how you are going to change in order to acquire it. Don’t try and fool yourself into believing you already have all these traits, unless you truly do. Fooling yourself will also be cheating you out of achieving your home business goals.

1) Self Discipline – Working at home means that you don’t have a boss or co-workers to keep you on task. When you are the boss it is easy to do something other than work. This is especially true in a home business where you have your personal life all around you. You must discipline yourself to do certain tasks at certain times every day. Do not let your home life interfere with your business just because you work at home.

2) Routine – You must avoid procrastination all costs! Once again you do not have a boss or other authority figure to keep you on task. A luxury of being your own boss is that you get to pick your working hours. Make sure you aren’t putting off work until tomorrow or the next day. Doing this will squash your home business dreams faster than anything. You must establish a work-load to get done every day and do it.

3) Persistence- People are always starting this or that but hardly anyone ever finishes once it gets a little rough. Having a home business has a lot of benefits but first you have to get through all the hurdles in the beginning. There are few things harder than building a home business from the ground up. There are also few things more rewarding once you have succeeded. It will get tough at times so you must have persistence.

4) Desire – You can hope and wish to gain financial independence for the rest of your life but it will never happen until you desire it. You must determine exactly what you want for your financial future and then let it become your obsession. Do not leave any room for failure or you will do just that… fail.

5) Purpose – In order to build a solid business you must have a central purpose. It’s easy to try and do a hundred different things at one time but it gets you nowhere in the end. People that fail don’t have a defined purpose or goal set for what they are trying to do. When you try to do too many things at once, without really knowing what you are doing it for, then you will quickly find that nothing is working. Many people just give up at this point.

6) Education – You don’t have to have a college degree to work at home. In fact, starting a home business really doesn’t require you to have much of a formal education at all. However, you must educate yourself tremendously on your particular business topic. There is going to be a lot of things you need to know in your business. Most of it can be learned on the internet or with home study courses.

7) Enthusiasm – You must thoroughly enjoy what you do in order to succeed at it. There is an old saying that enthusiasm is contagious. With enthusiasm you will have much more success getting people to do business with you. The whole purpose of working at home is to do something you like, under your own terms, so pick something you are enthused about.

Now, go back and read the list again. Do you lack any of the desired traits? Do you possess any of the negative traits? Find someone who knows you very well and is comfortable giving you constructive criticism. Have them go over the list with you to give you an outside perspective on yourself. If you find anything you need to work on, get started immediately. This is no time to procrastinate. Your future is on the line!

How I started my own Work at Home Internet Busines with Very Little Investment

Have you always wanted to work at home? Have your own business? Didn’t think it was possible? No more commuting in traffic (plus gasoline prices right now are ridiculous). No more "business attire" (work in your jammies) and no more Corporate America breathing down your neck. I didn’t think it was possible. I had always been a pessimist. Didn’t think I could do it. Didn’t have the knowledge or skills required.

I had worked in the travel/customer service industry for 25 years. I was laid off over two years ago after 9/11. I submitted my resume to countless job postings with no response. Obviously after awhile I was feeling unwanted, useless, and depressed. No job prospects, no money, no direction. I not only needed an income, I needed a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning other than the cats and bird needed to be fed.

What was I going to do?

The light bulb finally came on in my head and I realized that I had some resources right at home. A computer and internet access. I normally surfed the net to shop

(shopping mind you, couldn’t afford to buy) and playing computer games to pass the time.

I happened upon an opportunity to take surveys online. Sounded easy enough and for a $35.00 investment to access a database of survey sites I could start making some money. I registered with every survey site listed in that database. A tedious task! In two months time a made $102.50 and a $10.00 gift card. I wasn’t going to pay the bills with that kind of money. Back to the same dilemma!

What was I going to do?

I started searching the web for information about working from home. To my amazement there are countless opportunities. Now the question was not if I could have my own business but what kind of business did I want? I’m not a salesman! I didn’t want to have to worry about inventory, packaging, shipping, merchant accounts, etc. I had very little money to invest, so my out-of-pocket expenses would have to be low, really low.

I found a website which offered me the chance to start my own business with incredibly little cost. The following lists what was provided:

1. A domain name registered for $30.00.

2. Hosting of my website at a low monthly fee of $24.95.

3. My website was created free of charge which included a free auto responder.

4. I had to join five affiliate programs (signup was free) which their links would be placed on my website. These were some of the top affiliate programs (paying good commissions with multiple income streams). I found many favorable recommendations for them at several different websites.

5. They immediately got me started on how to build a mailing list fast and how to generate traffic to my website.

6. I was provided a home business tips newsletter that goes out to my email list on a daily basis. I don’t have to do a thing, it’s automatic.

7. Plus, I am provided with more tools, tips, ideas and marketing strategies (from well known "Internet Marketing Gurus") than I thought possible. All free of charge!

They’ve done the research and testing to know what works and what doesn’t. Just have to follow their lead. These people give you step by step instructions. Go to any internet marketing website and see how much information is given freely. I think you will be as amazed as I was and still am.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are some costs involved. But I’m talking a couple of hundred dollars not thousands! I have been overwhelmed with information, ideas, tools and resources!

No one is going to do it all for you. You will have to spend time learning and working to promote your business. Point is YOU too have the opportunity to have the best boss in the world, YOURSELF!

Take action now, don’t wait, and grab a piece of the internet boom for yourself. As I said before I was always the pessimist, but now I see a half full cup instead of a half empty one.

7 Work At Home Mistakes To Avoid

When I first started my own "WORK AT HOME" business, I had no experience whatsoever , and I did not know how to get started on the right foot. After a lot of trial and error, I have learned [and still learning] on what to do and not to do to get started in my "WORK AT HOME " business.

Any one who had decided to start their own "WORK AT HOME" business , is going to make mistakes along the way. Remember, no one is perfect, so it is expected to make mistakes as you learn. Many "WORK AT HOME" mistakes can be avoided , when we learn from the mistakes of others.

1. First of all, before you start a home based business, you must know what it is you'll be doing. You need to educate yourself about your "work at home" business. For example , Internet Marketing , Placing classifieds , getting a WEB SITE ,Follow-ups ,etc. Look at it this way , say you sign up someone under you , and they need help getting started , how are you going to help them if you do not even know this? Expect your first 6 months or so to be a learning process for you.

2. SPAM

What is SPAM?

Simply put, SPAM is unsolicited advertising. It is our belief that SPAM is in the eye of the person being SPAMMED, not the person sending the SPAM. While you may not consider a message to be Spam, if the person receiving it does, it's SPAM. If you are not 100% certain that the person or persons you are advertising your Surfside Internet site to will not complain, DO NOT advertise your site to that person or persons. Any SPAM complaint is cause for immediate termination, no second chances, no questions asked. This is a very serious matter. Surfside Internet reserves the right to take legal action against any person or persons involved in SPAMMING

What types of advertising are considered SPAM?

Bulk e-mailing (sending an e-mail advertisement to persons listed on an e-mail address lead list).

Advertising with bulk e-mail services (companies who will send an e-mail advertisement to persons listed on an e-mail address lead list for you).

"Bounce back" e-mailing (sending an e-mail advertisement in reply to an e-mail advertisement that was sent to you).

Advertising your Surfside Internet site to people that you don't know, who didn't specifically request the information.

Cross-posting or advertising to Usenet newsgroups, forum or discussion lists, and online chats (IRC) is not allowed.

These are only examples. Remember, SPAMMING includes ANY unsolicited advertising.

For more information about SPAM and how to avoid it. Please visit this site:

Friends House In Rose hill:

http://www.rosehill.org/spam.htm

3. Posting ads on Forums: Like spamming , posting ads on forums message boards can [most likely will] get you banned. Forums are only to be used as sources of information about business opportunities. You can ask questions , or get/give advice about any "Work At Home" business , or other topics , but absolutely not allowed to place any ads of any kind. When visiting Forums, always look for their rules/regulations , so you know what is and is not acceptable on these Forums.

4. Submitting to FFA's. These are free for all sites that you can post your ads on. Do not waste your time posting your ads on these sites ,because your site will never get seen. Worse ,because most FFA's have such low rankings ,it will give your site a low rank ,because you posted on them. Place your ads on classified ad sites. Here is how to find classified site to place your ads. Go to your favorite Search Engine and type" free home business classifieds" or something like that. I have listed a few places for you to place ads on for your conveince.

Free Classifieds and Promotion at: http://www.inetgiant.com

A-Z FREE Classifieds http://www.freeclassifieds.com/

World profit FREE Classifieds http://www.worldprofit.com/classifieds/

Free Business Ads http://freebizadsweb.com/>

Classifieds for Free http://www.classifiedsforfree.com/

FREE Classifieds Directory http://www.everydaybusinessonline.com/adsites.htm

5. Shouting Other than using caps to emphasize a few words within an e-mail ,or a web page, do not use all caps. Using all capital letters in a text or a correspondence is considered shouting, and shouting at people just causes them to leave.

6. Slow response to e-mails: If someone has taken the time to send you an e-mail for more information about your business, or has some questions, and you do not respond to them in a timely manner, then you probably have lost a potential customer, or an affiliate. Even if you do not know the answers [you may still be learning] let them know that you do not have the answers, but you will find out for them, and get back to them A.S.A.P .

7. No persistence: Let me tell you that there is no such thing as a "Get Rich Quick Scheme" They do not exist. If you want to have a successful "Work At Home" business, then you must be willing to work hard for it. What you put into your business is exactly what you will get out of it. Persistence is the single most important factor in determining a successful "work at home" business. Be persistent and you will be successful.

Work At Home Moms - Start Your Business With Found Money

Think you can't afford to start your own Home Business? Think again! I have been able to budget the start up expenses of my own Home Business. I have to admit in the beginning I thought I would not be able to afford starting my own Home Business knowing it would take a small investment to get it moving.

So what I did was kept track of all my spending habit for a couple of weeks. Was I surprised as too how much money I spent foolishly. Money I swore I didn't have because I could never afford anything. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen you would be in shock if you realized just how much money we spend on entertainment alone. That is where my biggest expenses were at. So I decided that I would rather put that money (the money I didn't even know I had) to better use and start my own business.

I would like to share just a few of these short cuts that I have taken to help budget my business.

First of all I realized I was spending way too much money on eating out. Every morning taking my son to school we made a stop at the local donut shop. I mean really, who can start a day without a donut? Well at the donut shop I usually spent around $4.00, cause you know we needed orange juice also. Then for lunch I was so busy running around doing errands that I would usually get me a meal deal at a local fast food restaurant which averaged out about $5.00. Now just that alone is already $9.00 for just one day. Well, 9 times the 5 days of the week is $45.00 for the week. Even scarier is that was $180.00 to $225.00 a month depending on if it was a four or five week month. My first initial thought was, NO WAY, I don't have that kind of money. But apparently I did. So now, what I have done is I buy the dozen donuts from the grocery store and that is what we have in the morning. The box cost about $3.00 and last the whole week. I no longer stop at the fast food places, I make it a point to eat lunch at home. So I cut that expensive tremendously. I now spend $12 to $15 a month. Much better!

Next, is movies. Who doesn't love to go see a movie on the big screen. I know I do. Well, we would go to the movies every Sunday night. Just for us to get into the movies was $26.00 for a family of four. Once we got in there it was straight to the snack bar. We had to have popcorn ($3.50) and a large soda ($3.50) and of course we all shared cause it was so expensive. So our Sunday trip to the movies was running about $33.00 a week. A month that was about $132.00 to $165.00. Wow, for someone who couldn't afford much I sure was spending alot. So now we rent a video ($3.50) and buy some microwave popcorn ($2.00). We now spend $5.50 a week.

Do you see where I'm going with this, I was spending well over $300.00 (that I never knew I had) a month, on things that were really not necessary. So not only have I drastically cut my expenses, but have also found other ways to make extra cash as well.

You know those aluminum cans that we throw out after we finish our soda's? Well I don't throw those out anymore. I began to save them just to see if I could really make any money on recycling them and to my surprise I get about $25 a month just from that. Also, I have put my sewing machine to work for me and have made some extra money just by hemming up pants for friends and neighbors.

So you see, if you think you can't afford to start your own business, then you should really evaluate your spending habit like I did and you will be amazed at how much money you have that you thought you didn't have. Next time you are at the movies or stopping at a fast food restaurant ask yourself, if any of that will help you become financially independent. Wouldn't you rather invest in "Your" future, instead of someone else's? But yet each and every time we stop at those places that is what we are doing, investing in their success. We are the one's making them successful, so why not turn it around and invest in yourself.

Don't get me wrong an occasional movie or burger is fine, just as long as you are investing into your future as well.

Working At Home While Caring For A Loved One

I often sit and wonder "where did the day go?" I know there are 24 hours in the day, 8 of which I spend sleeping. So that still leaves me 16 hours to get my daily activities done. Funny, how 16 hours sure does seem like 6.

But after going through a month of not knowing if I was coming or going and swearing I got cheated some hours from my day, because well, I didn't know where they had gone. I decided to sit down and make a plan. This way I would be more organized. I have always been pretty detail oriented, until I was faced with having to take care of my husband who is ill. Something I was not prepared to do at age 37. But I guess this is how is was suppose to be, so instead of becoming depressed I decided, I would just accept my fate and make the best of it.

Although my husband is very dependent on me, I have found ways for him to depend more on himself. I have done this by making everything easier and more accessible for him. Making him feel like he could still do things for himself so that he wouldn't feel helpless. And of course easier on me. Taking care of a sick loved one can be very demanding and can easily drain all your energy. But I have come up with my own plan of attack, so that we both can benefit from it.

So this is my plan that I came up with to make my life a little easier and so that I would still have time to pursue my Home Based Business.

Anyone caring for a loved one, can benefit from some of these ideas, so please use them to your advantage.

Make sure any and all doctor appointments are scheduled as early as possible, this way you have the rest of the day to do other things. I find that afternoon doctor appointments take up most of your day and leaves you feeling like you lost time somewhere.

My favorite thing to do so that I don't feel pressed for time, is to cook meals ahead of time. I pick Sundays as my day to cook all my meals for the week. I buy my groceries on Saturday night, then Sunday morning I get up and start cooking, I cook about 8 different meals on this day. I let them all cool down, then I put a serving amount in a ziploc baggy and freeze it. This way during the week, when my family is hungry, they can get out a pack of the entree they choose and microwave it, and presto dinner is served. No mess, no hassle, and keeps you out of the kitchen.

Also another time saver I do for my husband is, I have five sets of clothes folded all together and set up for him in a special shelf in the bathroom. It has his underwear, pants, shirt and socks. All folded together. This way when he goes to shower, he has everything he needs there. No calling out to me, that he forgot something, or can't find this or that. This keeps me from having to run around getting his clothes together. Works very well

On his side of the bed, I have put both night stands there, on one he has all his meds, creams and lotions. On the other night table I invested in a mini fridge, I keep bottled water and a few snacks. This in itself is a big help, because him being a diabetic he is always thirsty, so I was always having to go fill his glass with water. Now he reaches over and gets his own bottled water. (I love those people that invented the mini fridge.)

I also keep his cane, his crutches and his wheelchair close by the bed. We never know what kind of day it will be for him. Some days, he can get by with just the cane, other days he needs the crutches and some days its the wheelchair. But with them being close by, he has access to them on his own, and doesn't have the need to wake me up as often.

Now with all these short cuts I have taken not only have I helped him to help himself, but I have cut my workload in half. This way I can now spend more time on my home based business. My home based business is now more important to me than ever, with him not working I know our future will depend on my success in my business. I have confidence that I will succeed, just as anyone else who starts their own home business will, as long as they are as determined as I am to succeed.

If you find yourself in the same situation as mine, having to care for a loved one while starting your own business then please follow all or some of my advice, it has worked for me and know it will work for you.

Also, if you are not caring for a loved one, but find yourself pressed for time, then I do recommend my tip of precooking your meals this alone will save you time in the kitchen. You will be grateful you did that when your family asks, "what's for dinner".

What Does It REALLY Take To Build A Home Based Business And Work At Home?

All of us most likely share a similar goal and dream. In an ideal world we would be able to stay at home AND earn a comfortable income. With all of the stress that exists in our lives and with all of the discomfort we feel working for someone else on "their" terms while lining "their" pockets with our efforts, the notion of starting our own business and working at home poses an almost irresistible allure to us. More and more, people are moving beyond the mere dream and fantasy of working at home and they are actually seeking out opportunities and taking the necessary steps to establish themselves with a work at home opportunity.

Have you thought about moving beyond the dream and actually taking those steps towards working at home for yourself? Its an applaudable idea! However, before embarking on this exciting journey it is ESSENTIAL to firmly establish and recognize the difference between the fantasy of working at home and the reality of working at home. In our fantasies, perhaps we picture ourselves leading a life of leisure in the comfort of our homes while money simply "rolls" in on a daily basis. Beware of this fantasy because that false notion is what the scam artists who abound on the internet are hoping you are going to believe. They are out there, and believe me, they are waiting for you and they will tell you that you can be earning a very appealing sum of money in a very short time with little or no effort put forth on your part. Well, honestly, who wouldn't find that idea enticing? DON'T buy that idea! If you do, you will find your pockets empty and your dreams broken!

The reality of working at home, although it may not fully live up to our pie in the sky dreams of living a life of leisure while money rolls in without effort, is that you can earn a nice income at home. However achieving this goal involves several crucial factors. It takes quite some time....this will not happen overnight or even in a few months. If you are truly going to build a successful home business the reality is that it will take a few years. Further, it will take work. It will take hard work, dedication, persistence, attention to detail and an optimistic attitude. If you believe that you have these attributes and are willing to work towards your goal consistently in a dedicated and concerted manner over time then you will likely succeed. You cannot expect a home business to support you in the immediate future. You must have another source of income while you build your business and eventually your home business, if you apply yourself correctly, can become your primary source of income.

Many people make the decision to establish themselves with a home business and then run helter skelter all over the internet signing up for five or ten different programs making focusing on anything next to impossible. It is imperative to select ONE solid program and then stick to it like glue and give it your full attention and your best effort. It is indeed possible, with a healthy dose of realism, to become an internet success story.
